To keep students and staff safe, SDPC requires visitors, volunteers, and vendors to enter through each school’s office and sign in to KeepnTrack. You will also be asked to show your picture ID to the receptionist, wear your KeepnTrack badge while you are in our schools and sign out of KeepnTrack before you leave. Thank you for your help in following our procedures for safety in all our schools! |
Visitor Guidelines
Parents may visit classrooms as observers only. This appointment needs to be made 24 hours in advance with an administrator. The teacher will be notified of the parent’s request to observe a class. The parent may visit as an observer only and may not comment on or distract from the lesson in any way. Parents, youth ministers, area clergy, and community youth advisors (AAU coaches, etc.) may also eat lunch with their students with permission from an administrator. Former students and other visitors may not eat lunch with students. Former students or others wishing to visit with teachers may do so after 3:15 p.m. on days when teachers do not have professional development responsibilities. Students in education programs from area colleges and universities may be required to complete observation hours for practicum and internship experiences. These observations should be set up through an administrator or the Instructional Coach at least 24 hours prior to the first observation.
