LHS welcomes VOLUNTEERS!!!
If you’re looking for a simple way to be active in the community, we urge you to consider volunteering at LHS. Volunteers make a real and positive impact on the lives of our students by graciously sharing their time, special abilities and energy. Why not become a volunteer this year? Check out the Volunteer links under "Family and Community Information" to learn more about the process of becoming a volunteer in our school.

Do you grocery shop? Check out these ways to help LHS!!!
Three area grocery stores offer opportunities for shoppers to support their schools every time they shop for groceries. We encourage our parents, students and community members to make the most of these programs.
· This past year monies raised through the Ingles Tools for Schools program enabled LHS to equip two math classrooms with individual dry erase boards for thirty students, including dry erase markers. Students who completed our single gender survey overwhelmingly identified this tool/strategy as one of the best used in any of their classes. Shoppers MUST re-register their card every year. Visit the Ingles Tools for Schools web siteand enter your information today!!! (This is a direct link to our school’s information. The LHS school ID number is 11871.)
· The Publix Partners program donates $250 to LHS for every $3,000 in grocery sales. Publix Partners cards will be available at registration for those who do not already have one. You do not need to register at their site. Remember to use your card each time you shop at Publix!
· The Bi-Lo boosterplus program is an easy, convenient way for you to support LHS! Information about this program will be available at registration. You simply take the Bi-Lo hand-out with you to the store and scan it with your Bi-Lo Bonus Card the next time you shop there. The sheet you will receive has four scannable cards on it for you to clip and share. Shoppers need to re-register their Bonus Card every year.
Please tell all your friends and family and other members of the Liberty community to check out these ways to help LHS! With the extreme budget cuts that schools are facing, we need to take advantage of these opportunities to make a difference in the instructional program at Liberty High School. Thank you for your support!!!

Recycle your ink cartridges!
Did you know that the plastic in each printer cartridge takes more than 1,000 years to decompose or that 1.5 million cartridges go to land fills each month? The LHS Library is participating in a program that will stop this incredible waste and earn money for our school. Any cartridge except ribbons is acceptable. The packaging for cartridges is acceptable for recycling as well. We can mail these to recycling companies for cash, and in these days of budget cuts, every penny counts! Parents are encouraged to donate cartridges from their businesses and students may bring theirs from home. Working together, we can turn trash into treasure for LHS. THIS IS AN ONGOING FUNDRAISER!
