Dalton James signed an athletic grant-in-aid with Limestone College to play football on February 6th. He was a 2 way starter for LHS as a running back and defensive back, as well as returning kicks. Dalton earned three varsity letters in football and was the LHS 2012 Offensive MVP.
His offensive stats for this season were 9 yards per carry average, 24 yards receiving average and 14 touchdowns. Most impressive was his 1,287 all-purpose yards this season, which was a team leading 143 yards average per game. His defensive stats for this season include 42 total tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 2 sacks and 1 interception.
Coach Kyle Stewart states “Dalton possesses an extreme amount of athletic ability. With hard work, he can have a bright future at Limestone. We wish him the best.” Limestone is an upstart football program that will begin intercollegiate play in the fall of 2014.
