Early Dismissal/Late Arrival Procedures

  1. Students with a 1st block or 4th block study hall may apply for early dismissal or late arrival through the attendance office.
  2. Application forms should be returned to Mrs. Gwinn for approval.
  3. Upon approval, the student’s schedule will be changed, and the student will be issued an Early Dismissal/Late Arrival card. The card will have to be produced if a student is asked for it by an LHS employee or local police officer to verify the student is not cutting school.
  4. Freshmen do not qualify for Early Dismissal or Late Arrival.
  5. Students who wish to be on campus during Early Dismissal or Late Arrival must sign in at the attendance office and indicate where they will be located during this time. The student should report to study hall if he or she is not working directly with a teacher or working in the Media Center.
  6. Violation of this procedure may result in the student losing Late Arrival, Early Dismissal, and/or parking privileges.
