Mission
The mission of the Liberty High School Media Center is to promote reading and literacy and to collaborate with the learning community in developing life-long readers and effective users of information. In accordance with this mission, the Liberty High School Media Center seeks to:
- provide an inviting and stimulating environment for learning.
- support and extend the school’s curriculum.
- provide current learning resources in a variety of formats.
- be a catalyst for technology innovation and integration.
- promote the responsible use of technology resources

Media Center Policies
Hours: 7:35—4:00 daily
See Mrs. Boatwright in advance for extended hours as needed.
- Students are expected to work quietly and to use their time wisely with schoolwork, research, or reading.
- All students must sign in at the circulation desk upon entering the media center and must sign out upon leaving.
- Students must wear student IDs or temporary badges while in the library.
- Desktop computers are primarily for independent research and may be used for school related purposes as listed in the Back to School Handbook. E-mail, games, and non-school related surfing is not permitted. Students may lose computer privileges if computer policies are violated. Ask questions if you are not sure of specific policies!

| Students are permitted to check out five items at a time. Books may be checked out for two weeks. Reference books may be checked out overnight only. Overdue fines for books accrue at the rate of 10¢ per day, magazines are 25¢ per day, and reference books are $2.00 per day. Students may not check out books if they have overdue books or unpaid library fines. If financial circumstances make it difficult for a student to pay fines all at once, please talk to Mrs. Boatwright to make individual arrangements. |
